NO FILTER
Der fotografische Prozess ist entweder ein cleverer, gut durchdachter und vorhersehbarer Prozess. Oder ein Prozess, der von Emotionen und dem menschlichen Unbewussten auf beiden Seiten der Kamera gesteuert wird. Meine Porträts von Schauspielern, Künstlern, Schriftstellern, Köchen und vielen anderen sollen direkt und überraschend sein. Ich suche immer nach dem Moment zwischen zwei Aufnahmen. Die Perfektion im Unvollkommenen. Die Unvollkommenheit in der Interaktion mit meinem fotografischen Gegenüber ebenso wie in der Beobachtung meiner selbst und meiner Umgebung mit der Kamera. „No Filter“ bedeutet keine emotionale Einschränkung, schon beim Fotografieren.
The photographic process is either a clever, well thought-out and predictable one. Or a process controlled by emotions and the human unconscious on both sides of the camera. My portraits of actors, artists, writers and chefs, for example, are intended to be direct and surprising. I always look for the moment between two shots. Perfection in imperfection. The imperfection in the interaction with my photographic counterpart as well as in the observation of myself and my surroundings with my camera. „No Filter“ means no emotional restriction, already when taking my photographs.
Look and think before opening the shutter.
The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera.
